Randall’s Island Waterfront Festival Food Demo

Sandwiched between East Harlem and Astoria, Randall’s Island constitutes a 330-acre sprawl with nine miles of waterfront pathways and many grassy fields. It’s also home to the dynamic Urban Farm with free, interactive classes introducing visitors to all the farm’s amenities. During the island’s three-hour Waterfront Festival, a family-friendly water-themed event, the Community Food Educator will be demoing a dish using seasonal produce from the farm. Past demonstrations have included shaken lavender and tulsi lemonades with farm-fresh ingredients, as well as unique flower bouquets with zinnias and feverfew. No registration required.
