Wavy Savory x Jiaba Supper Club

What do Taiwanese and Jamaican cuisines have in common? If you answered influences from Hakka people, a Chinese ethnic minority with populations all over the world, you’d be correct. This all-day pop-up explores the inspiration of Hakka people on both cuisines, including the savory “lei cha” rice served during tea ceremonies in Taiwanese-Hakka villages and Hakka Jamaican’s influence on reggae in the 1960s and ’70s. There are five a-la-carte dishes that pay homage to familiar classics in Taiwan and Jamaica, plus ones that don’t quite fit into one category. Reservations and walk-ins are available.
