Using New York corn, the East Harlem bakery’s method is as simple as it gets.
For each cocktail sold, Woodford Reserve will donate $1 to the mentorship program for those with a “budding interest in the culinary arts.”
The Kuvée system suggests food pairings, recommends new wines based on your tastes and allows you to buy directly from the bottle.
The program’s roots are in community building within New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) complexes, which will host urban farms, farmers markets and health classes.
The event is both a fundraiser for the New York Cider Association and a highlight of the city’s annual Cider Week.
