Chefs around the city are sharpening their knives and firing up their grills for Eat-Drink-Local week, our eight-day love fest for our foodshed which kicks off Saturday. We won’t spoil all the fun, but here are just a few of the gloriously local dishes you, too, can be devouring next week.
We’re thrilled to announce our fourth annual Eat Drink Local week, an eight-day locavore love fest for our foodshed celebrated by Edibles around the tri-state area. For one week, starting June 22nd, we urge you to show some love for our local food system by dining out, cooking in and enjoying local, seasonal ingredients.
Usually we’re advocates of device-free dining. But that was before the #eatdrinklocal Twitter stream started buzzing with pictures, recipes and farmstand tips on how our readers are eating, shopping and dining during Eat Drink Local.
Eat Drink Local Week has finally arrived and it’s going to be a hot one. So it’s your duty, really, to enjoy a bottle of chilled rose–one of our featured local ingredients of the week. In our Edible Guide you’ll find links to dozens of wine shops around the city where you can pop in a grab a bottle.

As Eat Drink Local Week approaches–our week-long tribute to our foodshed begins Saturday, June 23rd–we wanted to introduce the sponsors that have helped us organize the event and also support local and seasonal eating year-round.
