At this month’s sixth annual Brooklyn Uncorked, over 700 wine and food enthusiasts flooded the former Williamsburgh Savings Bank–a spectacular building with soaring ceilings that’s better known as Skylight One Hanson–to nibble and sip the various food and wine offerings from over 60 vendors.
Inside the venue, winemakers and chefs replaced bygone tellers and counters previously stocked with deposit slips displayed rich spreads of pâté and artisan breads. From rich slices of lamb belly toast topped with citrus yogurt and black mint from Allswell to divine flourless chocolate mini cakes from The Chocolate Room, the food tried to outshine the wine.
