There are many reasons an Edible Manhattan reader should stop in at Chelsea Market, the mini-mall on Ninth Avenue and West 15th Street: There’s the local dairy, grilled cheese sandwiches and snacks at Lucy’s Whey, and there’s Dickson’s Farmstand Meats, one of the city’s finest sustainably-minded butcher shops, and there’s farm-to-table suppers from one of our early profilees, Mary Cleaver, at the Green Table. (That’s her, above left.) Add to that the photos from our photo editor, Michael Harlan Turkell. His wonderful images of the market’s vendors are now featured on a massive scrolling screen right inside the lobby. We’d like to officially encourage you to loiter.
