Four Leaders in Sustainable Ag Tackle Co-Packing, Dairy, Livestock and Grains

If you’re spending this Earth Day (it’s Sunday) north of the city–hiking or biking the Hudson, perhaps–consider an afternoon stop off  at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie. At 4:30 the Glynwood Center is hosting a panel called Local Food Pioneers: Cultivating the Future of Farming in the Hudson Valley. It’s free (just RSVP) and will feature Glywood’s four 2012 Harvest Award winners, or four businesses that are spearheading sustainable agriculture in our region:  Farm to Table Co-Packers; Wild Hive Farm; Hudson Valley Fresh; Northeast Livestock Processing Services Co.

Details on the discussion are below:
Sunday, April 22
4:30 panel discussion followed by a casual reception to meet the winners
