Eat Drink Local Week begins Sunday, and delicious things are of course happening at many of the partnering restaurants across our foodshed, especially in the borough of Kings, where seasonal and locally sourced menus are nearly as common these days as corner slice joints. (Well, not quite, but we’re hopeful.) Starting tomorrow, German cuisine meets local farms at BAMcafé in Fort Greene, while Mexican specialties (and live music on Thursday) is on the agenda at Cariño in Williamsburg. Maple syrup flows at DuMont Restaurant in Park Slope atop their panna cotta, while Saul in Boerum Hill is down for a dish of vegetables, capanatina, arugula and homemade ricotta.
But that’s just a small taste — from tomorrow until October 6th, the following Brooklyn restaurants will be dishing up locavore price-fixed menus, our 11 ingredients of the day and New York beer, wine and spirits, and you should peek at their listings below to see what’s up. And be sure to check out our lists of Manhattan and Long Island hot spots too.
