Remember when Norah Jones broke the airwaves in 2002 with her cover of “Don’t Know Why?” It went on to win a Grammy for “Song of the Year” and was subsequently covered by the likes of Smokey Robinson and Kenny G. But Norah Jones didn’t actually didn’t write the song herself — Jesse Harris did in 1999. And the Long Island summertime regular is playing a concert to benefit the Montauk Community Garden at an event organized by our sister publication Edible East End on Saturday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m. .
His sound has changed quite a bit in the last two decades (check out one of his more recent videos here) but you can still drench your heart in wine at his concert: Lieb Cellars will be serving its new Bridge Lane Boxed White Blend, White Merlot, Rosé and Red Blend.
The party will take place at Naturally Good, and the restaurant will serve several of their early summer classics while utilizing fresh ingredients from Goodwater Farms, a certified organic farm specializing in microgreens. “Naturally Good is one of our go-to Montauk spots, and their new patio is the perfect space to hang out,” says Ami Opisso of Lieb Cellars.
Proceeds from the patio party will benefit Montauk Community Garden, an organization with a vibrant CSA program. “It was an easy choice to support the Montauk Community Garden and the crew who donate their time to enhancing this great town,” says Lauren Katz, founder of Naturally Good.
Tickets cost $20 and are available here.
