Since we can’t wait for the 6th Annual New York City Beer Week 2014 (Feb. 21—Mar. 2, 2014), we’re thankful that we have an early opportunity to celebrate some stellar local suds. In preparation for the big week, the New York City’s Brewers Guild is set to host a fund-raiser at the Brooklyn Brewery on Thursday, December 5, 2014.
The approaching 10-day week will honor 11 NYC craft breweries alongside “standout” breweries from around the nation and world. Over 250 NYC beer destinations, celebrity chefs and restaurants will also participate.
A great way to celebrate beer is, of course, with more beer. As a big hoorah before the actual event, the New York Brewers Guild is inviting guests to join them next Thursday, December 5, for a tasting of “rare and exotic craft beers from the Guild breweries” including Heartland Brewery, KelSo, Sixpoint Brewery and many more. Tickets are $40 and include unlimited tastings! There will also be a food drive to benefit City Harvest, so bring a nonperishable food item and receive a “special Beer Week Surprise.”
