Before another day passes, we’d just like to congratulate Brian Halweil, our publisher and also the editor of Edible East End, for his nomination for a James Beard Foundation Journalism Award for his profile of Joan Gussow, which ran in this magazine last spring. It’s two nominations in two years for the Edibles, and that a wonderful profile of such an amazing woman (who was inspiration for the founding of Edibles, in fact) has received recognition is big news indeed.
