It’s true, tickets to Brooklyn Uncorked — our two-floor New York State wine tasting at BAM next Tuesday — are sadly sold out. But you can still score two passes to the event, which we’re co-hosting with help from our three sponsors, The Long Island Wine Council, Bing and Organic Valley. The Long Island Wine Council, the promotional arm of our wine region, helps organize the two dozen or so wineries that pour. Bing, the decision-engine of choice for food and drink enthusiasts, will be providing some interactive searching of New York wine options. And Organic Valley will be sampling dairy from their nearly 200 New York farmer members, including their new NYFresh label, produced and bottled entirely in the Empire State.
The first person to tell us below in the comments section what the three major American Viticultural Areas (AVA) for Long Island are and the year each of them were defined (perhaps look it up on Bing?) will win two tickets to Uncorked and two tickets to Good Beer, our beer event at BAM on July 26th. And if you don’t win, maybe consider buying tickets to that one now, to be safe, right? They’re still on sale for just $30.
And for the lucky winner of this contest, you and a guest will get to sample:
