We’ve just realized that our music-themed trivia night at Brooklyn Brewery next Thursday — whose brilliant questions concerning food in popular songcraft were crafted by the sneaky Mr. Robert Sietsema over at the Village Voice — falls on the last night of Hanukkah. We’ve put in a special request to the folks at The Meat Hook, who’ll be providing the food, to prepare schmaltz sausages and are pretty tempted to give points to anyone who can a) name the food references in the Sandler’s Chanukah song and b) recite the entire thing. Just an FYI, in case you’re cramming over the weekend on subject matter such as bands with food names, groups with food songs, classic songs about food items….
