For those who can’t get enough java in the morning, noon or night, there are still a few seats left for a most intriguing coffee dinner at Craftbar this Thursday night. As Edible contributor, Liz Clayton, reveals on Seriouseats, the menu will feature “coffee-cured hamachi,” “squab with coffee jus,” and more, all made with beans and brew from New York heritage roaster Dallis Brothers Coffee, whose extensive chops and bright future Clayton profiled in Edible Manhattan last year.
Dallis holds monthly tours of its Ozone Park plant (the first Saturday morning of every month), but the second best way to learn about all that Dallis roasts is at these tasting events. NOTE: Dallis will also be pouring alongside spirits and sweets at Edible’s own Good Spirits at Let Poisson Rouge next week.
Clayton reports that: “Space for the dinner, which includes a talk by Cup of Excellence’s Susie Spindler about the international coffee award program, is limited. Reservations may be made by calling Craftbar at 212-461-4300.”
