This Earth Day, April 22, Slow Money New York City is putting on a program to help readers like you figure out how to invest in the local food scene. The two-hour program will take place at Stone Barns Center for Sustainable Food and Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, NY (cool!) and feature pitches from 5 awesome food and farm entrepreneurs looking to raise funds for their big ideas.
It was one for the cocktail pairing record books at this year’s Good Spirits! A sold-out crowd of 500 flocked to 82 Mercer to eat, drink and mingle. With food and drink from more than 50 of the city’s most celebrated food and drink makers, guests had plenty to sample.

Until February 9th you can bid on a Valentine’s Day dinner prepared for you by the chef of Benchmarc restaurants. Murphy is a member of City Harvest’s Board of Directors and their Food Council, and is offering himself up for auction online to raise money on their behalf. You tell him what to cook and he’ll show up with the groceries.
