In an effort to promote local, sustainable and organic foods, Chefs Collaborative and Organic Valley have teamed up to host a series of Earth Dinners. A portion of proceeds from the meals will go to helping Chefs Collaborative–a non-profit network of chefs working to celebrate local foods and foster a more sustainable food supply–achieve their mission. Even better, Organic Valley has pledged to match all contributions to the organization up to $10,000 (don’t forget to stop by Good Dairy on April 25th to sample Organic Valley’s goods). The Earth Dinners are taking place at restaurants around the country, including some nearby. To take part in Manhattan, call for a reservation at Mexico Lindo Restaurant this Thursday, April 19th, or Telepan on Sunday, April 22nd .
UPDATE: Through Sunday The Green Table will be offering this Earth Dinner special and donating ALL proceeds to Chefs Collaborative: Local asparagus with Riesling Sabayon, paired with a glass of Thirsty Owl Dry Riesling from Cayuga Lake.
