Quick question: what are you doing on Thursday, March 8? If the answer isn’t going to Good Spirits at Pier A Harbor House, I’m not sure we can still be friends.

Not only does our annual all you can eat and drink soirée gather some of the region’s most talented mixologists to celebrate local, national and international spirit brands and alongside top-notch tastes from some of the city’s most acclaimed and up-and-coming chefs. But this year eight food and drink vendors from Brooklyn will be coming into Manhattan for the event, making Good Spirits the rare opportunity to try some of the borough’s best food and drink vendors all in one place. Here’s a peek at what you can expect:

Claro
284 3rd Ave., Gowanus
Folks rave about the Oaxacan cuisine at this Gowanus favorite and we’re already counting down the days until it’s sunny and warm enough to sit out on their patio while sipping a mezcal cocktail and noshing on tostadas.

Cherry Point
664 Manhattan Ave., Greenpoint
Cherry Point returns to Good Spirits this year where they’ll be serving up chicharron topped with beet mole and Spanish mackerel crudo. One of their seafood dishes inspired the small bite and owner Vincent Mazeau says you can expect the beet mole sauce to be mildly spicy with a subtle sweetness and a deep, rich, purple color.

Mokbar
212 Flatbush Ave., Park Slope
The popular Korean ramen spot that also has a Chelsea Market outpost is the ideal place for gathering a few friends and tucking in for a night of sharing dumplings and other small plates.

Karasu

166 Dekalb Ave., Fort Greene
Fort Greene’s hidden Japanese cocktail lounge, you have to walk straight through another restaurant to get to it, is known for its playful drinks menu starring whiskies, sakes and shochus. Sip a cocktail while munching on one of their Onigiri rice balls.

Alice’s Arbor
549 Classon Ave., Bedford-Stuyvesant
Known for serving authentic, seasonal, flavorful American dishes with an emphasis on farm-to-table fare, Alice’s Arbor will be dishing out bourbon brined ham at Good Spirits.

Maison Premiere

298 Bedford Ave., Williamsburg
Williamsburg’s Maison Premiere is teaming up with Gramercy Tavern to take over the Commissioner’s Bar for a special botanical-driven pop-up. The menu includes:

  • Bijou: Angostura Orange Bitters, Green Chartreuse, Cocchi Torino, Monkey 47
  • Diamondback: Angostura Orange Bitters, Green Chartreuse, Laird’s 7.5yr, Ragtime Rye
  • Lis Tigré: Bitter Truth Celery Bitters, Lemon Juice, Lemon-Thai Basil Cordial, Forthave Marseille, Monkey 47 Gin
  • Jubilee Stomp: Angostura Bitters, Ginger Syrup, Rapa Giovanni Liquore di Noci, Lime, Ragtime Rye
  • Rookoobay Royale: Lemon Cordial, Forthave Aperitivo, Mumm

Owney’s Rum

Bridget Firtle never planned on becoming a distiller but in the years since started she has quietly turned Owney’s Rum and The Noble Experiment into a made-in-NYC success story. If you’ve never had one of Owney’s daiquiris, Good Spirits is your chance. “Owney’s makes the best Daiquiri in the world; because rum, lime and sugar is the holy trinity, and because a Daiquiri is one of the oldest and most classic cocktails in existence,” Firtle said.

Leyenda
221 Smith St, Carroll Gardens
The pan-Latin cocktail bar by cocktail matriarch Julie Reiner of Clover Club and Flatiron Lounge, and her long time employee and protégé Ivy Mix, celebrates the spirits and imbibing traditions of Latin America and beyond in creative and classic cocktails as well as fantastic food menu by the acclaimed chef Sue Torres.

Edible Good Spirits will return to Pier A Harbor House in New York City on Thursday, March 8. The event will run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tickets start at $50 per person and are available for purchase online now. For more information about Good Spirits, please visit the event’s website.
