Chicken Hotpot Dinner (Lẩu Gà Lá É)

There’s nothing better than a bubbling pot of communal soup to ring in the summer. No one knows this better than Vietnamese restaurant Mắm, which is bringing back Lẩu Gà Lá É, or chicken hot pot, for one night only. This specialty is difficult to find outside of Vietnam; it was born in Phú Yên and rose to popularity in Đà Lạt. Using chicken as a soup base, it’s served with bamboo, oyster mushroom, beautiful lemon basil and greens, plus a special dipping sauce called chẳm chéo.
